Suns out guns out

So it's been awhile since I last got the camera out and headed out to photograph an event.

But that was until a couple of weekends ago... what would now be one of the largest Crossfit comps in NZ was held - Metcon Madness. There were a heap of teams competing across 4 divisions.

The box I train at had 4 teams competing, so I grabbed my trusty 70 - 200mm lens and popped along to capture the moment :-)

The day started overcast, drizzly and humid (typical Auckland weather really), but soon turned into a scorcher. Plenty of guns were definitely out in the sun... ;-)

Oh and there was a prize for the team with the best costume. The storm troopers didn't win....

Was nice shooting an outdoor comp as it let me crank up the shutter speed for some nice crisp shots. Especially on the close ups.

Enjoy.

There's more to come on the photography front. Has gone from quiet to multiple events over the last few weekends. Stay tuned over the next week or so for amazing shots of fast moving jets and slow moving transports. Not long after this will be a selection of classic cars :-)

Thanks for stopping by.
